Are You Making Yourself Crazy? STOP!

Have you ever felt you were making yourself crazy with your thoughts? Do you ever feel you’re in a black hole? Having lots of drama? Drama can be seductive.

Most of us have spent some time in that black hole. I’ve been there as a result of a painful and traumatic childhood.

At stressful times I would jump in that hole and get a little crazy. My thoughts would be self-critical. I would make myself wrong and then suffer. Ouch!!

Then I found out how to stop that process – by choosing my thoughts.

YOU CHOOSE WHAT YOU THINK! YOU HAVE A CHOICE OVER WHAT THOUGHTS ARE IN YOUR MIND!

If you want some help with choosing, because you’re not sure how to do that, then call me, a therapist or a hypnotherapist. Start reading good spiritual books by Wayne Dyer, David Hawkins, Don Miguel Ruiz, Eckhart Tolle.

I’m going to share a SECRET that helps me choose. Try this for one week.

First thing in the morning I put on some lovely music from Hemi-Sync, I light a beeswax candle and some high-endincense. Then I make a cup of green tea and curl up andread a spiritual book for 15 minutes. I’m starting my day with good, uplifting thoughts. Then I meditate for 15 minutes. (See Resources)

Wow, my day has just started in the most calming, refreshing, uplifting manner possible. Then if I have time for a walk or some exercise, even better. If not, I fit it in when I can.

By doing that ritual, I guarantee you will feel better. Your thoughts will be positive, clearer, your mind will be inspired, your spirit will be uplifted and your body will respond with lots of energy. You will be calmer and happier.

So stop making yourself feel crazy and start a morning ritual that will change your life. Make time for this and you’ll have the energy to do anything you want.

Then work with someone who will help you implement what you learn when you’re reading. While the black hole may be seductive, the light will thrill you beyond your imagining with its freedom, peace, power, love and JOY.

imagine the possibilities…

Q & A

From Linda a 41-year-old medical corporate manager from Brussels

Q: Carol, every time I date a man I end up not liking him after about three months. I really want to get married and my clock is ticking, but I can’t find the right man. What’s wrong with me that I always find something I don’t like? I date men that are smart, good looking, successful, well-educated and come from good families. On the surface it never looks like anything is wrong until I get into the third month. Then I see all sorts of warts. I get so upset and I don’t know what to do.

A: Linda, you’ve asked a wonderful question. I frequently hear a similar theme from my coaching and teleclass clients.

Here’s the problem. You forgot to mention soul qualities and the character of the men. You mentioned only externals or surface criteria.

What about how you feel when you are with them? What about how they treat you? Or treat other people? Do they have close friends? Do you like their friends? Do you share similar values of integrity, compassion, and spirituality?

Who is the man in there underneath all the success, good looks, education?
What does he want from a relationship or a marriage? What are his views on children? Does he honor your boundaries? Or his own?

Do you see where I’m pointing you? You don’t live with the externals. You don’t curl up with the externals. How do you feel when he holds you? Does he comfort you when you’re scared, laugh with you, and share good times and bad?

Linda, change your criteria and you will find a man that won’t be someone you dislike, but instead will be someone you treasure and grow with.

Don’t beat yourself up or be upset anymore. Change your perspective and look forward to exciting relationships! You don’t have to date an ugly man or a slob, but less focus on the external and more on the internal – your frog may be a prince after all! Happy Dating!!
